Digi-Press Technology from Frame My Photos

AccuPosition

AccuPosition solves a core problem introduced by the limitations of printers and their drivers. To get borderless photo prints, many printers scale up a photo arbitrarily to eliminate white space in the border. Worse yet, consumers have no ability to override this alteration when they print, so parts of their images get chopped off. But with AccuPosition, you sent the horizontal and vertical scaling percentages independently for complete and accurate coverage of the entire photo paper.

We've included samples below from two different printers to demonstrate the problem, and to demonstrate how AccuPosition helps you see your whole photo when printing. The samples below were printed on 4x6 photo paper using each printer's borderless option. We then scanned the photos using a flatbed scanner, and intentionally left a portion of the scan bed visible so that you can see where the photo paper ends.

THE PHOTO'S CORNER

BEFORE AccuPosition

Each rectangle in the photo above represents 5% of the total image space. What percentage of the photo would you estimate has been chopped off 5%? More?

BEFORE AccuPosition

Look at how the rectangles in the upper left hand corner are smaller. If this was your photo, that's the portion that would be chopped off. Look at the lower right hand rectangles in the full size image to the left. See how they're also chopped.

If you want the ability to override this arbitrary alteration of your photos, you need the Framing Station with AccuPosition.

AFTER AccuPosition

Look at how uniform the rectangles are in the close up and in the larger sized photo to the left.

The Framing Station features our exclusive high-performance Digi-Press technology that enables effortless user interaction and fast screen response. Digi-Press is the result of over 12 years of Windows creative print program research and development by the Frame My Photos team. We intentionally designed the Framing Station differently than all of the other photo, clip art and scrapbooking software that we saw on the market. We wanted the Framing Station to be approachable and immediately usable by everyone regardless of how much computer experience that they had. We also wanted every user, regardless of their art skill level, to achieve outstanding results in their email, printed and saved composite images. These were high goals, and they absolutely required an advanced high-performance technology. Digi-Press is that technology, and we're quite proud of it.
